1. What do I need before learning how to ride a motorcycle?
First, you would need to know how to ride a bicycle. Then you need to obtain a BC Class 6L or 8L motorcycle license by taking the knowledge test (Computer test) at ICBC licensing center. The test fee is $15.00. When you get your Class 6L or 8L learner, then you can register with us for training.
2. What are my journey to get a full motorcycle license?
You need to pass 3 tests in order to get a full motorcycle license in BC. First is the Class 6L or 8L knowledge test, then Motorcycle Skill Test (MST), and also the Final Road Test. Once you passed the Class 6 / 8 final road test, you will get your permanent motorcycle license.
3. Do you provide a helmet and motorcycle? What is the motorcycle size? And can I use my own motorcycle?
We provide a D.O.T. approved helmet and the use of a street legal motorcycle. Our motorcycle is good for beginner and usually is between 200cc to 400cc. If you already got a motorcycle and you prefer, you can use your own motorcycle for training.
4. I'm only 162cm tall, can I go for Sportbike training package?
It's the fact that if a novice rider could have the foot landed completely on that ground, you would have more confident and will have a less chance to drop and damage the bike. Therefore, we have a minimum height requirement for our sportbike package at 168cm. We suggest that you learned with regular motorcycle package and build up more confident and skills.
5. What is different between a 4 hours and a 10 hours package? How does the private one-on-one training system work out?
Each of our training session is 2 hours long. Each student can have their own combo of the training depending on their own learning progress. For example if you chose a 10 hours motorcycle training package. Ideally, You can spent 2 hours for parking lot training, 2 hours for MST, 4 hours for road training, and 2 hours for road test.
Remember, your combo of the sessions are flexible for your own paces. Let say, if you spent 4 hours for parking lot and 2 hours for MST, then you will still have 4 hours left in the case you need to retake your MST or use it to prepare road test. If you needed more hours after 10 hours, we offer a special hours rate after your package is completed.
6. What is MST and MSA? Does the MSA easier than MST?
The Motorcycle Skill Test (MST) is a motor vehicle skill test which provided by ICBC. You can also look at it as a parking lot riding skill test. After you passed the MST, your supervision and speed restriction would be removed. The Motorcycle Skill Assessment (MSA) has the same format as MST but provided by an authorized school and examiner. It does not mean a guaranteed pass even you joined a course with MSA.
7. Do you provide MSA after I completed the training?
We do. Our One-on-One MSA packages, One-on-One Completed package and the Group Course are certified and approved by ICBC. MSA will be conducted by an Assessment Officer after the completion of mandatory sessions with the approval of the Instructor. Please note that MSA certification does not guarantee a pass.
8. If I take your course, do I pass the MST or MSA automatically?
Both MST and MSA are the same format test. MST is conducted by ICBC driver examiner, and MSA is conducted by an Assessment Officer. MSA certification does not guarantee a pass.
9. How much is your course?
We provide varies of Private One-on-One package and a Completed Group Course. Our package rate is very competitive, click here to find out more details. You will able to choose the suitable for you.
10. How busy is One-on-One your schedule? How fast can I start to train?
We provide flexible hours mostly on weekday evening or weekend daytime. However, Summer is the high-season for riding. We suggest you to register first and we will contact you to arrange the schedule. All training schedule is based on first come first serve. The earliest you registered, the earliest appointment you could have.
11. Can I make a booking without registration?
Sorry, we do not provide or confirm any training schedule before we received a completed registration.
12. How do I register? Can I just call you and book a training schedule?
You would need to register before we could arrange the training schedule with you. Simply go to our registration page, follow the instruction and send us the form, with a copy of your learner license. Once we received your registration, we will contact you to arrange the schedule. We do not take booking without registration and we do not take registration by phone.
13. Do you train for Road Test?
Yes of course. We are licensed driver training school with ICBC and all instructors are licensed by ICBC with years of experience, and we do train you in preparing the final road test and safe riding for life.
14. I have riding experience before, is the 4-hour package good enough for me?
Each individual has different learning progress. Some may take longer and some may take shorter. From our experience, people average spent about 4 to 6 hours before MST. Therefore, we can't say if that's enough for you or not.
15. Can I just rent your motorcycle for MST or Road test?
Sorry, we do not rent out our motorcycles to public. All our motorcycles are reserved for students' training and student's MST or Road Test. In fact, we do encourage you to take some training with us. With proper training, you would have a higher chance to pass the test.
16. How good is your teaching?
We are proud to say we are trying our best to provide the high quality motorcycle training. All our instructors are licensed by ICBC. Under our instruction, over 90% of student passed MST/MSA and the Road Test at once.
17. Do you offer any discount for a group or coupon?
We offer a small group (2 person) training package. Please check our Fees & Packages page for more information. Occasionally, we offer special discounts with some restrictions. Please check our website or like us on Facebook to receive some discount updates.
